Fortune of a Friendzoned

When your crush makes it clear to you that he/she is not interested in having a relationship but wants to stay friends, you have been selected for a one-way ticket to the friendzone. This is a story about, Amy, a girl who has a crush on Paulo (they even shared a kiss!) but he is in a relationship with someone else thus friendzoned Amy.

Although I agree that some would still be friends with their crush and hope to become the “girlfriend” or “boyfriend.” One must realize whether your crush hangs around you because he or she really cherishes your company or whether they are a fair weather friend wherein he or she is only hanging out with you because he or she actually need something from you. If they do cherish your time together and you hang out frequently not because they need you for something, there is room to grow for romance. However, if they only ask you for favors and for you to do something for them, most likely they are only using you.

Best way is to move on if your crush IS using you. Better keep some ice cream or chocolate ready when venturing into this path. Keep yourself busy with your friends and do activities that you enjoy. Cheers!

Both parents working? Read this comic!

Are both your parents working and has bailed out on your family time together? This is an all too common thing in a family household now where both parents are working thus are busy with their careers while their child/children are left alone at home with the maids or guardian. See how Mons handle the situation:

Mons put up a strong and brave front so as not to look weak and lonely. However, another solution would be to talk to your parents directly that you feel neglected and a family bonding sesh is needed.

So don’t neglect your loved ones, be it family members, friends, or a special someone. Be there for support and be there for events/gatherings! And show them that you care! Cheers!

Old Friends, Love Lesson to Learn

This story is about two adults meeting again because their children are coincidentally friends. After several years of no communication, they meet and talk about the past. The short comic is about not pursuing the person you love. The young girl, Lel has a crush on a guy named Joe for ages while Manny is her friend telling her to not pursue Joe as it will only hurt her. On the other hand, the adults are talking downstairs about how they never pursued one another and having regrets.

It can be hard to convey your feelings to someone because of fear of rejection but being unable to express those emotions is unhealthy as well. This may result in having an unsettled need within you and may affect current and future potential relationships. Remember this tip: it is better to have expressed your love and taken a chance rather than spending the rest of your life pondering and dwelling on the past on what could have been. Who knows? Maybe your crush will become a great friend to you and in the future, return your feelings.

As Dr. Seuss said “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened!” so get out there and let your love be known. Don’t hold back because of fear! Don’t dwell on the past! Seize the day! Cheers!
